It was November 2021, when I began building my copywriting business.

At first I chased client work. Then landed retainers. And had some quieter times when I could step away from the hustle.

But all the while… something was nagging me…

“Chris, every hour you’re spending working on someone else’s business, is one less hour working on yours.”

The thought stayed with me. But my own self-doubt held me back from taking it any further.

So I continued on with the routine of trading my time for money.

Come January 2023, it was a new year… and once again I was feeling burned out from hustling and client work.

It was then I knew… something HAD to change.

Instead of looking for new clients, I began pouring my time and energy into building my own email list.

It wasn’t easy. But it felt like a ray of sunshine was starting to break through the dark clouds.

I’ve not looked back.

Now… I no longer hustle for work. I can take on clients if I want to… or not. And my earning potential is only limited by my own vision for the future.

I enjoy focusing on email SO MUCH. Because… by showing up every day… I’m building strong relationships with my subscribers.

And it’s a delight to help them take steps on their own low-stress email marketing journey! 😊
