Truth be told… there’s waaay more than 10… but 10 is a nice round number to start with today 😁
Here goes…
- Build a relationship with an audience that wants to hear from you.
- Use connections with people on your list to guide what value you offer them (free or paid). In other words… they’ll help you with your market research.
- Communicate with your audience without the distractions of ads from social media (although, platforms like Gmail are breaking email in this regard… something to chat about another day though).
- No lock-in to one platform. You can email from a gazillion different email platforms. And if one lets you down, move to another.
- Your email list is your asset. No one can take that from you through de-platforming or censorship.
- You can promote your social media accounts using email. If you post a social post you can boost it massively by sharing it with your email list (and of course share your email list on social too).
- You can make your audience aware of the products and services you offer. And share about those over time. So it’s not a “pressure cooker” selling thing.
- You can build relationships with other business owners. For example, through each promoting the other to their email list.
- Writing emails is a great way to build confidence as a writer. And you’re just writing as one human being to another. So don’t have to get all tactical and gimmicky.
- Because emailing regularly is a must, it helps create cycles in your business that are focused on producing content for your email list. And not shying away from sharing the helpful products and services your business offers.
