Earth shattering

This morning I woke up to the thought:

“I forgot to send my email last night!”

I’ve sent around 220 daily emails. I think just one in the early days had a slightly-after-midnight “glitch” in my sending pattern.

In other words… I’ve had a long, unbroken streak.

And I was kinda proud of that.

Maybe too proud?

Anyway…

I had anxiety around keeping things up.

And fear of what it would mean for me if I slipped… and broke the chain.

Well… know what?

I feel good.

There’s nothing I can change about this.

I might have disrupted some of your morning reading routines… for which I profusely apologize.

But having such understanding people, like FULLNAME, on my list… I know they’ll understand.

I can easily write another “catch up one” later today if I want. Or not.

No one, other than myself, is making me send emails every day.

Even though I completely missed 28th March in New Zealand… if you’re in the US, you might just notice this as an afternoon email rather than the usual first thing in the morning.

So… potentially a bigger deal from my end than from yours.

The thing is…

Life happens.

Yesterday was busy. Working on my ebook. Client work. Family things.

And I simply forgot to set my reminder alarm. Which I do when I’ve nudged my email writing later into the evening.

Instead I came home. Feeling exhausted. And hit the hay early.

But…

What I thought would be an earth-shattering disaster… was nothing of the sort

Although, last night I did get to experience a reminder of something truly earth-shattering.

My family and I headed to our church for the Maundy Thursday service. A reflective time at Easter. Remembering the death of Jesus Christ.

Where the moment he died… the earth shook and split open.

You can read about it here: Matthew 27:32-54

And… back to the regular email sending from tonight (my time).

Happy Easter!
