Had to pull my skin back on after she did this…

Here I was sitting at my desk. Headphones on. Bopping along to “Turn It Off” by Paramore.

Busy tickling the keys while I coaxed another email to life.

Meanwhile…

My youngest daughter, Leah, had walked into my office.

Now, when I’m sitting at my desk, my back is to the door.

So with the headphones on… I’m oblivious to her being there.

She raises her hands. Spreads her arms far apart.

And right behind my head brings them together… with an almighty SMACK!!!

AAAAAHHHH!

My skin was left behind in my chair…

As my head smashed into the roof.

After I’d regained my composure…

She was still chortling away. Looking rather pleased with herself.

“Yeah… nice one”, I said. “But watch your back!”

Man, I hate surprises like that.

But I guess it’s better than surprises like…

My email service provider deciding to add another 7 clicks to my workflow. Because of a “helpful new feature”.

Yep. This happened recently with another well-known platform. (That shall not be named at this time.)

So…
