The big deal with little posts

Yesterday I posted in a Facebook group, sharing a “win” of mine.

I didn’t expect to do anything more with that post.

Once it was out of my head… onto the keyboard… into the group… viewed by others. That was it.

Or so I thought.

You see….

In a (rare?) flash of inspiration, I realised I could…

Make this little post into a big deal.

Reason being:

I’d just shared a short story from something that happened in real life.

Along with something I learned from it.

You know what that means? …

🥁

Email material!

So it became yesterday’s email. About “The power of staying in touch.”

Today’s email — funnily enough — is based on a follow-up post in that same group.

Where I reflected on using the first post as the source for email content!

My point is:

Sometimes you can take random posts you make to groups… beef them up… and use for content elsewhere.

It was so easy to do with yesterday’s email because the core idea was there.

Which was: staying in touch with clients can give suprise wins.

And the story tied it up nicely for my repurposing ways.

But it doesn’t stop there…

I may even take yesterday’s email and make it into a LinkedIn article. Which I regularly do with my emails.

I think it’s helpful to ponder:

The things we produce — even if quick and rough — can have a life beyond their original purpose.

One that can make growing our freelancing business just that little bit easier.

I love being able to go from a simple idea. To an email about it. To a Chris-eqsue article.

Could my humbly-born Facebook posts even become the nursery for a book?

🤔

Bye for now!

P.S. I’m now available for paid consultations

That means this old dog may have learned another trick apart from daily emails! 🐶

So, as a freelancer…

If you ever want some help with:

  • Accountability
  • Business skills for freelancing
  • Strategy
  • Mindset
  • Working with clients

We can go deeper and give it more attention than is possible with a quick emailed-in question. (That you’re still welcome to send in and I’ll answer on the list.)

This offer is exclusively for email subscribers of one month or more.

And it’s a ludicrously low price. My way of saying “thanks for being here”.

I even put the price and duration in the name…

I call it my “50-50 consult”.

But spaces are limited to 5 a week. Because client work marches on!

So… if you want some extra help…

Simply reply and ask.

Tell me what you’re looking for… give a little background… and we’ll see what we can do 😄
