The path to overwhelm and ruin?

Emailing daily is a big deal for me.

But it’s a big deal I chose to do because I see how it’s going to make me a better person.

“You must be joking Chris?

“You can’t fool us…

“Daily emails are all about raking in as much filthy lucre as you can get your grubby paws on!”

Well, you certainly can do it with this nefarious plan in mind…

But you’ll be burnt out before you even get a chance to gain some decent momentum.

You see:

Just as Obiwan teaches young Skywalker:

“A Jedi can feel the Force flowing through him” …

I want to feel the power of my list flowing through me. Helping me be sensitive to its needs. Your needs.

When I respond to those needs then I’m fulfilling my guiding purpose: to help freelancers succeed.

So emailing daily helps me stay connected to this purpose. And connected to the people I serve.

I also think this will nudge me towards being a better person.

Why?

Well, I could fill a trilogy of 1200 page novels with the story of “Chris the Bumbling, Undisciplined Buffoon.”

But… let’s not (at least not today!).

Instead, let’s just say:

For me, daily emails are like meditation is for other people. It’s a way of becoming more focused. More in tune. More disciplined.

And I like that.

Because it rubs off on so many areas of my life.

No way do I claim to be “there” yet (where is “there” anyway?). But it’s simply nudging me in the right direction.

And here’s the thing:

I don’t feel the overwhelm I expected from writing daily emails. In fact, it’s almost a relief after dragging my feet for so long to get started.

So… see you in the next email…

Tomorrow.

Without fail!
