The small truck hugged the boy and jumped into a bird’s nest underwater

Every time I go to open the fridge I see the words…

“The small truck hugged the boy and jumped into a bird’s nest underwater”

One of my children pulled the mix and match magnets out one day while hanging out with her friends. And started playing around. Somehow we ended up with that phrase.

It’s now been there for months!

What does it mean?

Well, to most observers, it doesn’t really mean anything.

And to the person who created it, it doesn’t really mean anything either! 😆

Except for the fact it came from their creative mind. And was a bit of fun. But it stuck (literally).

Those magnets come with all sorts of words. And you can really go to town with them.

I MAY have amused myself with them from time-to-time. I mean… who can resist?

Playing around with these magnets reminds me of growing a business.

Because what we build with these words very much comes out of our own creativity. And we put our businesses together with our own set of “words.”

We can build something that reflects our values. And put the pieces together to serve us in realizing our vision for the future.

The cool thing with removable magnets is you can swap words in and out. And change the order of things if you want.

We have that same kind of flexibility with our business.

If we need to change tack. Or we want to put emphasis on one particular part of what we do. We have the freedom to do that.

Our businesses aren’t fixed in stone. We can make them just what we want and need them to be.

And can swap in and out bits as we need.

Whether starting with physical products then swapping to digital only. Or shifting our marketing on social media from Insta to Facebook.

What we start doing is not what we’re locked into.

And the energy we put into areas of our business as we progress is going to be different to other times.

To start with it may be getting to grips with marketing. Then product development. Then dialing in our customer service.

The things we need to learn and grow in change.
