47% of all statistics are worthless 😆

Seems the cool kids do their selling via email.

In some research coming through email marketing software provider, Constant Contact…

They discovered that 60% of people who bought something did so because of a marketing email.

But turns out… only 12.5% would consider buying something directly through social media.

Interesting?

Of course there’s lies, damned lies, and statistics.

Although they do give a “feel” for what people do…

In the end it’ll depend on a whole lot of things.

Such as the type of product.

Are we talking puppy outfits. Or fine art?

The relationship with the seller also plays a huge part.

Which is no wonder.

Because all things being even, there’s a stronger relationship of trust with someone who has willingly opted in to your email list.

Rather than just scrolling around their social feed. And stumbling on your stuff. Even if they do “follow” you.

So it seems we’re better off sharing products with our email lists. Than trying to hawk it on Facebook or whatever.

Which is good.

Because I kinda like doing that.
