I can read a mountain of articles and books. Watch YouTube until my eyes bleed. Attend webinars like they’re going out of fashion.
But until I DO something… I don’t really “get” it.
There’s something to the saying:
“I hear and I forget. I see and I remember. I do and I understand.”
It’s been variously attributed to Confucius, Xunzi (a confucian scholar), and Maria Montessori.
Regardless of who gets props for saying it first…
The point is:
Learning by doing tends to have more sticking power.
I’ve found that in my own business.
If I read or watch some stuff. I can pick up info about the topic. Even be able to talk about it. And give an opinion or two.
But…
I can’t speak with the kind of WISDOM that knows the right applications, the nuances, and the limits until I DO it myself.
So, very sorry…
I’m NOT going to start teaching about Facebook Ads… Instagram… logo design… or handbag dog hairstyles…
At least any time soon!
If you were hanging on for that, better slam the “unsubscribe” link now. Before your world crumbles into the ashes of disappointment.
In fact, I have a policy in my business of NOT creating products and courses UNLESS I have experience doing the things myself.
Cool thing, though…
There’s still MUCH to be learned through observation. Just watching how other people do something.
And learn from the experiences they share. Good or bad.
Which is especially helpful if you’re not in a position to be doing it yourself just yet.
It’s like this with bundles.
I’ve shared some of my experiences already here on my list. Even while I’m taking part in them. Which is perhaps unusual.
But my business is all a bit “meta.”
In that I’m going to be talking about email marketing… and list growth… even while I’m doing it!
Fun times! 😁
With bundles there’s potential to add many subscribers to your email list at once.
Anyone interested in taking part in, or even running them, can watch how others do them. Even seek them out to ask about their experience.
Even as a participant looking in, you can learn and observe how they’re put together.
If you’re intrigued by bundles, perhaps thinking of taking part in one yourself. And consider checking out how the waitlist and other aspects work.
Then when you sign up, you can observe what kind of emails start coming your way.
All part of a good bundle education. 😄
