My wife and I organize a monthly free meal for our local community.
It’s been going for about 5 years now.
We love meeting people we don’t regularly rub shoulders with.
And it’s nice to give back a little.
For one of these meals, Vicki was going to be out of town at a K-Pop concert with my middle daughter.
So I’d be managing the kitchen myself.
Knowing I’m NOT the most creative or efficient chef…
She offered to cook a couple of massive Shepherd’s Pies before she left.
I wasn’t about to say “No.” 😅
Otherwise we’d all be eating sausages in bread.
And it’s kinda nice to serve up something with a little more pizazz!
So Vicki cooked up a storm.
I was at the other end of the house.
And my mouth was watering from the aroma that started wafting my way.
Suddenly, Vicki poked her head around the door.
Her face said it all.
The disposable tray had buckled while moving one of the pies to the fridge.
And, oh boy!
You should see the state of the kitchen floor! 😲
(It was about then I wished we owned Labradors.)
Sad as it is…
Sometimes our best efforts end up splattered all over the floor.
It’s one of those life things.
Disappointing. But not the end.
And there’s always learning opportunities.
Like I had. When after two years of using one of those all-in-one marketing systems….
I threw it in the trash!
Apart from bugs. And looking like 5 different people had designed it…
The final straw was customer service just NOT SERVING this customer.
Pulling the plug after a hefty investment of money, time, and energy… sucks.
I knew there MUST be companies out there that take care with customer service and the quality of their software.
So I shopped around for the product-ordering side of things. So I could sell my own products and subscriptions. Without fuss.
And ThriveCart proved to be my “no brainer” choice in the end.
With customer service there when I needed it. And easy-to-use, robust software.
It’s why I promote it.
Because I can honestly say I believe in it.
