Whoever came up with this section of the dictionary really was a grumpy old sod

What is it with “N” words?

How they are just so… negative?

Have you noticed this?

Yesterday I was looking for an “N” word to use in an acronym for a product I’m developing.

So I yanked out John Carlton’s list of “Power Words”…

And fossicked my way through.

What did I find?

Nada.

Well… not literally the word “nada”…

Although that IS an “N” word.

I found “nothing”…

Ahh… not “nothing” the word. No, no…

That’s not much of a “power word” anyway!

After going through page after page after page…

I found that a suitable word was lacking. 😅

(Man, it’s hard to not use “N” words!)

There was plenty of “Negligent” … “Neurotic” … “Nonsense” words.

But “Nobody” knew how “Nervy” this “Nightmare” made me while I was…

Trying to find a bloody POSITIVE word… with at least a hint of joy in its demeanor…

Instead of the the depressing neuroticism this “N” word cadre evokes.

SURELY there’s some lighthearted “N” words out there… somewhere!?

Being stuck for a word can be a tad irksome.

But maybe I should have stepped out for a bit of fresh air.

Or sought counsel with the solver of most of my problems…

With my head resting in my pillow’s soft embrace.

That usually kickstarts my creative juices again. And often can come up with something.

But when I do… it’s usually more than just one niggly “N” word…

It’s usually a plethora of words. And ideas. And excitement about them.

Sometimes it’s for emails I could write. Sometimes for products I could make. Like books.

The cool thing is with books. And I include ebooks here…

If you’ve got a good idea for an ebook, in particular…

Then it’s possible to write one of these fairly quickly.

That is, if you take a certain systematic approach.

And use a bit of very common technology to your advantage.

I wrote one pretty fast at the beginning of this year. (And may have a couple more planned.)

In the meantime… I’ll focus on email list building.
