One thing that doesn’t change

I remember when my kids excitedly greeted me with a hug around my legs… but now they just grunt.

Things change.

Times change.

People change.

But one thing that doesn’t is human psychology.

What moves people to take action hasn’t changed.

As master copywriter, John Carlton, says, “Guys in togas were using these basic principles to earn fortunes selling chariots in ancient Rome.”

The products… the problems might be different…

But deciding whether to buy or not…

Comes down to…

Making emotional decisions. Backed up with rational reasons.

I enjoy helping people solve their problems.

I think that’s why I like email copywriting.

Now, they call copywriting persuasive writing.

But I prefer “clear-suasive”. 😜

It’s NOT about pushing people along the path.

But about making the path ahead clearer.

So they can see the solution to their problem.

And how they can get hold of it when they’re ready.
