My chances of being a professional photographer were destroyed today.
“They were destroyed already because you take crappy photos,” said a certain inner voice, entering from stage right.
All-right. All-right. That’ll do.
Gawsh! … I’ve got enough doubts and insecurities about my ability as a writer. I don’t need to be reminded about my less-than-perfect photography skills.
“You mean, the complete and utter absense of skills!”
Shut… up!
So… as I was saying… my photography dreams took a hit.
Reason being…
I managed to do the near-impossible. I shattered the glass directly over the main camera on my phone.
I mean… how the actual?
Hmm…
I wonder 🤔 …
With that level of precision in creative phone destruction…
Maybe there’s be a higher calling for me than photography.
Although… I’m not quite sure I could repeat the feat again.
Although, I’ve definitely practiced enough.
And gone through the motions a thousand times.
The skills required to fumble and drop my phone from my bedside table…
To smash the glass right over the camera like it was a bullseye…
Well, that’s gotta be a one-in-a-million move.
And this is the place in my email where you should get a fine email transition with me saying something like:
“And… it’s a one-in-a-million move if you buy blaa-de-blaah whatever thing”.
But we’ll leave that slick move for today.
Because today is about precision.
And today is about celebrating creative mobile phone destruction by the rising stars amongst us.
And stars like them should be able to just cut to the chase and say things like:
“Buy systeme.io from Chris’s affiliate link. It’s great!”
And we should all be happy. And marvel at the achievements of such fine specimens of—
Ah… I’m getting the signal from the director that it’s time to cut.
Good thing too, I guess…
It’s just minutes to midnight.
(Ooh… desperately resisting the urge to school people up on a very old-school Midnight Oil song. But that will take us into tomorrow. So… another time perhaps.)
Anyhoo… time to fly!
