My Chewbacca needs his head slammed

A couple of years back for my birthday my girls got together and gave me Star Wars-themed presents.

I haven’t yet been brave enough to wear my Darth Vader mask down to the local shops.

But I did get out my home-made light-saber a few times.

Until a bit of vigorous galaxy saving saw it needing a new home in the recycle bin.

But one little toy has travelled around with me from location to location this past year.

(My office has moved around my house 3 times for various reasons).

So it’s now sitting in front of me in the space under my computer screen.

I’m staring at it, deep in thought (well, that’s my story).

And then I “clicked”…

I was taken aback.

“What’s he looking so grumpy about?”

I mean, sure, we had a bit of a rough couple of days here in the nerve centre of La casa de Milham…

… what with a client deciding they wanted their project scope changed… and me having to ditch four hours of already completed work because of it.

(There’s more to that story… but you don’t want to hear that… do you?)

So I could be angry. Because it’s been downright time-wasting and frustrating.

But today was good.

I had a great catch up with a friend. And will now be helping get his writing website, email and other stuff set up.

So:

To be fair… he is a little stuck…

You see: his piddly little arms can’t reach far enough to do the deed…

So I help him out… with a swift SLAM!!!

The mechanism clunks…

His “grrr” expression swishes away…

Replaced with the look I want to see:

Now THAT’S the right face for today 😄. [About now, wishing there was a Wookie emoji!]

He’s smiling his big, hairy, teethy smile now because he knows we’ve got some great clients and…

One hiccup doesn’t need to get us down.

Plus: hiccups are learning help-ups.

So it’s a win if you look at it that way.
