Oops!

What better way to learn about something than royally screwing it up?

I don’t actually advocate going out of your way to make mistakes on purpose.

But they ARE a good teacher.

Particularly when you’ve made a giant “whoopsie”.

Like the time I sent the exact same email to my list — twice 😳

And we’re talking one week apart.

It was a little before this daily list. But… don’t worry… I’m sure I’ll give you something like this to laugh about before too long!

You see… the problem stemmed from me not updating my schedule after sending the previous week’s email.

So I was thinking there was still this not-yet-completed draft still hanging around.

While editing I did have a nudge of: this seems awfully familiar. And: it’s in pretty good shape already.

But didn’t “click” at that point because my mush-brain really doesn’t remember much of the previous week.

Wasn’t helped by STILL not following my own advice to get my emails scheduled at least the day prior.

Moral?

Keep your planning schedules up to date. Schedule emails the day prior wherever possible.

And…

Don’t be sleepwalking when you click the “Schedule” button

The good thing in all this?

I kept up with my goal of emailing twice a week!

So… the bright side lets me call that a win. 😜

Aren’t you lucky to be here… as I embarrassingly share how to learn from my mistakes!

I’m sure you won’t make any of those yourselves.
