Today I was stuck at the bottom of a pit of uninspiration.
A client’s email is needing to go out to their list today.
And I’m feeling rather depleted after some unexpected stuff that’s going on with a different client.
Plus I have 2 more emails of mine I still want to write today (this one is already mega-late by my own standards).
And there’s a pile of other stuff.
Meanwhile I’m staring blankly… at a blank page… and it’s all a bit blankety-blank
This email I’m writing is to promote a specific product.
I have the inkling of an idea for an intro and transition.
But am suffering with a severe case of brickwallitis.
It was then that ChatGPT threw me a rope
Mustering all my energy for a prompt…

Write a product sales email for PRODUCT.
Start with a story about a time when STORY-IDEA.
Then transition by saying TRANSITION.
Talk about the benefits of using PRODUCT.
Write it in a conversational and fun tone.

Four drool-covered attempts were dropped at my feet.
None I’d ever be caught dead emailing as-is, mind you.
But… enough of an idea boost to juuust hook one leg… and then another… up and and over the wall
It’s the little story at the start of one attempt that catches my eye. That’s all I need. (Not too bad a story either.)
ChatGPT, my friend… you’re certainly helpful in tight places!
So I finish writing and sending the email to my client’s list.
Now that today’s roadblock is out of the way. Things are looking just a little bit more straightforward.
I might just get those other couple of emails written today after all.
