Am I about to fail?

We’ve arrived at the last day of May.

I planned this month to produce a short course.

And, unless I quickly record a video in the next couple of hours… Slap a price tag on it… And announce “My AWESOME new course on dazzling the wadoozle is ready!”…

Then I kinda might not be making that goal.

A failure, right?

Sure. In a sense.

But…

FAR from being disappointed, I’m actually extremely happy! 😄

You see… this past month I’ve started getting coaching to help me with my business.

And through that, I’ve discovered some things that have led to me making changes.

I’ve changed direction. And my goals are changing too.

That has meant I put on hold creating the course that I wanted to make. Because it wouldn’t have aligned with what I’m now doing.

And it may stay shelved forever because of my new priorities.

Now it could be easy to look at this and say “Chris is procrastinating again.” (Yeah… I’ve got history…)

But this time the delay… actually more of a cancellation of this product… is because I’m taking action.

It’s for a very good, very considered reason (in my opinion).

That’s not a failure in my book!

What would have been a failure is producing a course I wasn’t 100% passionate about. And it would’ve ended up a half-baked pile of sludge.

Since readjusting my direction, my productivity levels for the last three weeks have doubled.

Simply because of how much clearer my vision is of who I’m serving through my business.

I don’t have any doubts that I’m heading in the right direction.

Beforehand, it was a bit murky.

In these past three weeks I’ve also created from scratch my first lead magnet. Which is now live on my website. 🥳

I also produced the draft of a second product for my business which will be a special report relating to daily email. (So watch for that, because it’s not TOO far away.)

And while creating that special report I actually came up with the idea for another product. And I’ve already got a big bit of that ready too.

So I could have been caught in the headlight of the looming end-of-month freight train…

And be down on myself because I’m not going to make the deadline. But I’m not stressing too much.

I’m now super-excited about what’s coming next. Because, along with getting these products ready…

I’m also turning my focus back to growing my email list.

So next month and beyond are gonna be pretty fun!

If you’re also thinking of producing something like a lead magnet or product… It doesn’t need to be particularly complicated.

In fact, the quicker it is to consume, the better. But it still needs to deliver value your subscribers can appreciate.
