How to Get Your First Subscribers

When I started my first email list I had 7 subscribers. At least, I think it was that many.

And that’s only coz members of my support group kindly signed up.

I even had one client jump in to make up the numbers.

If you’ve not heard the story…

That’s the list I sent a handful of emails to over the course of a month or so.

Then got “too busy” to email again.

That was back in the bad old days of doubting myself six ways to Sunday.

Knowing I needed an email list. But not really sure who I was writing the emails for.

But it was still a start.

And like I did, just asking people you’re regularly rubbing shoulders with is one way to kickstart your list.

Even if they’re not your “ideal customers” when you’re starting out, at least you’ll have an audience to be motivated to turn up for.

And that means a heck of a lot.
