Success is…

I 110% buy into Earl Nightingale’s definition of success as:

“The progressive realization of a worthy goal or ideal.”

I love this. Because it reminds me:

It’s not the destination that matters. But the journey.

It DOESN’T mean I don’t have 1, 3, and 5 year goals.

It DOES mean I don’t wrap my self-worth up in hitting those far-off targets.

Because day-by-day I can pause, glance around at my world, and see the path behind. And KNOW that I’m now nearer to those goals than when I started. And every day is about nudging a little bit closer.

Just writing that paragraph put a smile on my face. 😊

And a sense of relief washed over.

I… AM… a… success!

As is anyone, who is progressively (step-by-step)…

Realizing (achieving)…

A worthy goal.

And that “worthy goal” is going to look different for you and me.

It’s worthiness is only bestowed by the person with the goal.

If you decide it’s worthy for you. Then it is worthy.

Of course, Nightingale does say that some crooked, dishonest, immoral stuff ISN’T worthy…

But I’m sure you’re NOT doing any of THAT in your business! 😅
