My email list is a gathering of folks from all over the world.
So not all of us celebrate Thanksgiving today.
But, if you do… Happy Thanksgiving! 🦃🥂
I hope you’ve enjoyed a wonderful day. Perhaps spending it with family, friends, and loved ones.
Yes, Thanksgiving is a special time.
And I love its long history. From way back in 1621.
It was a time of being thankful for the first harvest.
Because without the harvest… you die!
So Thanksgiving started as a celebration of dodging the grim reaper…
And celebrating ongoing life.
Today’s an opportunity to be thankful for the good things in our lives that we enjoy and appreciate.
Probably without the threat of impeding death from lack of food. (Have you SEEN the size of dem Turkeys?)
In my neck of the global woods, Thanksgiving is pretty much a day like any other.
Although, it’s starting to feel a bit like Christmas Eve around here…
What with all the anticipation of the “big day”.
In my case…
‘Twas the night before Black Friday
When all through the house
Not a creature was stirring
Except for Chris…
…who was frantically sending out yet another Black Friday email for his client who’s wanting to make the most of this top shopping time of the year!
Ahh… the joys of client work. 😑
