When you’re writing emails for your business. There’s no rulebook of musts, shoulds, or have-tos.
You can just be yourself.
Otherwise you’ll be on the treadmill of tactics and “best practices.”
Or copying what’s working for someone else. Because they’re experiencing “success” … and you want some of that.
The freedom and flexibility is one reason I love email. And sending daily email in particular.
Because I’m just hanging out here. Writing stuff I enjoy writing.
And sharing about things you might find useful as you grow your own email list.
I like to think I’m bringing a ray of sunshine into dark, dank, dismal inboxes everywhere. 😜
If people connect with what I’m on about… cool!
If they don’t. They’ll find their people elsewhere.
I don’t need to be constantly comparing myself to other business owners. While thinking “Ooh, the grass is lookin’ more lush over there.”
Because its’ about showing up. Being consistent. And playing the long-game.
So I just get on with enjoying email. And creating stuff that helps my subscribers.
You’ll notice me harping on about mindset stuff like this a lot.
Because it’s such a critical part of this email game, that I can’t just sweep it aside. Like it doesn’t matter.
Making steady progress. Growing your list. Making sales. Looking after your customers…
Means being willing to face hurdles head-on. And just do what needs to be done.
