Was launching on a Sunday a good idea?

The plan for my Email Ace launch was to start on Saturday.

To give a full five-days before the first coaching audio arrives on Thursday.

Everything was in place… tested… and ready to go.

The only step left was sending my launch email.

But at the LAST SECOND (of course!) I had a…

⚡💡⚡ BRAINWAVE!!! ⚡💡⚡

“Maybe I could include a special ‘high touch’ coaching offer for new subscribers?”

Umming and aahing ensued.

“Chris, you’ll be missing your own deadline.”

“Chris, you’re already exhausted… and you want to do what?”

“Chris, are you MAAAAD?”

But when I thought about new subscribers, who were looking for an additional level of coaching support…

I figured it was ABSOLUTELY worth it to give them that option.

I love being able to help other business owners take concrete steps toward reaching their goals. (Hence launching Email Ace in the first place!)

And this would be an even quicker way for them to make progress.

Of course the extra income would be nice.

But the even BIGGER bonus for my business is…

This would MASSIVELY accelerate the timeframe for putting an offer like this out into the world.

I was thinking about doing something like this in THREE TO FOUR MONTHS TIME!

But now I had just 24 hrs!

So I delayed the launch email while I scrambled.

Launching on Sunday might have been a problem if I don’t email often. Or I rely on subscribers opening emails on a certain day.

Because Sunday does tend to be quiet on the work front. (I guess some of us have learned the meaning of “downtime!”)

But it didn’t bother me.

The email goes to just the same inboxes as it would’ve on Saturday.

I watched as the first person subscribed shortly after I sent the Sunday email. And I probably would’ve seen this too if it was Saturday. Or any other day.

Because I email daily… and will send many emails about the launch… it’s not such a big deal.

It just means we’re now doing a 4-day launch. Which is fine.

(Admittedly, I did drop the Saturday email completely because I was SO focused on writing a whole new sales page, fulfilment emails, and figuring out ThriveCart upsells. 😅)

Launching on a Sunday turned out to be a good idea because of the RIDICULOUSLY VALUABLE offer I’ve been able to add for Email Ace subscribers, who join during the launch period.

This all goes to show…

The reality of business is: we can change things as we need.

Last minute delays like this… and launching on a Sunday… really AREN’T a big deal in the scheme of things.

And you needn’t lose sleep over it.
