Robin Williams sung this toe-tapper as he played the Genie.
I don’t know about you, but I can’t help bopping along. And gurgling something, that with next-gen pitch-correction could be approximated to singing. š¤£
Fun fact from the original story of Aladdin from Arabian Nights…
There were in fact TWO genies.
One in the lamp. Another in a ring Aladdin discovered.
Then it became a bit of a genie face-off.
Disney took some… ahh… “license” with its version.
So only gave us the genie in the lamp.
Ahh… wouldn’t be nice to have a magic lamp on hand?
One quick rub…
A wish or two later…
And all our business problems would vanish in a flash!
We could instantly get the know-how and skills we needed.
Customers would flock to our doors.
Oh heck… why don’t we just wish ourselves rich!
But with genie lamps and magical rings in short supply…
Perhaps we’ll have more luck hunting for an Aladdin’s cave…
Where there’s treasures galore.
And you know what? …
I may just be able to show you the way to it.
